The much-anticipated India vs Pakistan group-stage fixture is scheduled for 30 August in Colombo — the most viewed cricket match of the calendar year.

The Lahore Fitness Camp

The 15-day camp under head coach Aaqib Javed and captain Mohammad Rizwan is focused on three areas: batting against spin (Sri Lankan pitches favour turn), fielding drills (Pakistan’s weakest recent department), and death bowling under pressure. Approximately 25 players have been called up.

Notable absences: Shaheen Afridi is nursing a minor left-knee strain but is expected to be fit for the tournament. Fakhar Zaman is also managing a hamstring niggle.
