In a horrific incident, unknown terrorists opened fire on a bus travelling from Ghazar district to Rawalpindi on the Karakoram Highway (KKH) near Hudur, resulting in the death of 8 passengers and injuries to 16 others.

The bus, identified as number BLN 4647, was operated by K2 Travels. According to reports, the attackers fired indiscriminately from the hills on the south side of the road, causing panic among the passengers.

As a result of the firing, the bus driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to a collision with a truck bearing registration number HNZ-136. The truck was carrying a lander and was travelling from Islamabad.

The impact of the collision caused the truck to catch fire, and the driver, unfortunately, succumbed to his injuries.

Rescue teams immediately reached the scene and shifted the injured passengers to RHQ Hospital Chilas for medical treatment. The bodies of the deceased were also transported to the hospital.

The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and authorities have launched an investigation to apprehend the perpetrators.

This incident has sent shockwaves through the region, and citizens are expressing their concerns about the safety of travel on the KKH. The authorities have assured the public that they are taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of travelers.

According to the reports so far, 16 people have been injured and 08 people in the bus have been injured in the firing of K2 bus 4647-BLN from Gilgit to Pindi in front of Hador Padi.
